Leonard Chester “L. C.” Candello

DURHAM Mr. Leonard Chester “L.C.” Candello, 88, of Durham, died on Monday, February 1, 2016.Mr. Candello was born on September 29, 1927 in Passaic, NJ the son of the late Louis and Carmella Candello. He retired from the U. S. Army. He was a member of the Church of God in Efland. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years , Emma May Candello. He is survived by his daughter, Cathy Martin of Timberlake; two brothers, Jackie Candello and Joey Lipari both of New Jersey; sister, Josephine Passafume of New Jersey; 2 closest grandchildren and their families, Bobby Oakley and wife, Stephanie and their children, Kymberlee and Hunter, Ricky Honeycutt and wife, Katherine and their son, Wyatt; four other grandchildren, Kent Piper and daughter, Taylor, Wendy, Kristi, Amy, and their children.Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 5th at 12 noon at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday, one hour before the service at the funeral home.
