Lessie Babb Farrell

DURHAM Mrs. Lessie Babb Farrell, 82, of Durham, died on Friday, February 26, 2016.
Mrs. Farrell was born in Wake County, the daughter of the late Hubert B. Babb and Ardis Goodwin Babb. She and her late husband owned and operated Lee Farrell Floor Sanding, until retiring. Lessie worked at CCB/Suntrust Bank Oak Grove Branch as a teller. She was a founding member of Liberty Baptist Church. Mrs. Farrell was preceded in death by her husband, Wilton Lee Farrell.
She is survived by her five daughters, Sandra Leathead and husband, Charlie of Pleasant Garden, NC, Terry Ellis and husband, Tim of Durham, Pat Pennington and husband, Robert of Clarksville, Tenn., Angela Watson and husband, Robbie of Durham and Ginger Blackwell of Wake Forest; 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 4, 2016 at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Her grandson Pastor Jason Pennington will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be the grandchildren, T. J. Ellis, Hunter Watkins, Kevin Watson, Chandler Watson, Brandon Mathis, Kameron Blackwell, Addison Blackwell and Tyler Whitesell.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 3, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home of Terry Ellis, 4008 Holder Road, Durham NC 27703.
