Lester Branson Ragan

DURHAM Mr. Lester Branson Ragan Jr., 79, a former resident of Durham, died at his home in Creedmoor on Sunday, August 5, 2012.Mr. Ragan was born in Durham to the late Lester Branson Ragan Sr. and Dora Mae Rogers Ragan. He served in the U. S. Army and retired after 38 years from Pine State Electric. He attended Grove Park Chapel and North Ridge Bible Chapel. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Pope and Betty Browning.He is survived by his wife, Immogene Ferrell Ragan; two sons, L. Branson Ragan III and wife, Shanna of Durham, Jonathan Ragan and wife, Sarah of Roxboro; one sister, Louise R. Hall of Belvedere, SC; two grandchildren, Emma Nicole Ragan and Dayna Lyn Ragan.Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel, officiated by Rev. John Gordon. Burial will be in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home. Flowers are acceptable.
