Lester Teston, Jr.

DURHAM Mr. Lester Teston, Jr., 73, of Durham, died peacefully at his home, after a courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, October 4, 2014.
Mr. Teston was born in Jesup, Georgia, to the late Lester and Annie “Virginia” Bateman Teston. He retired from IBM Corporation. He was of the Baptist faith. He loved sports and was an avid Duke and Cowboys fan. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Linda Teston in June 2014.
He is survived by his son, Michael Teston and wife, Angie of Buffalo, NY; daughter, Michelle Hickman and husband, Richard; six grandchildren, Brandon W. Hickman, Sean C. Conway, Heather Hickman, Cassandra Conway, Jessica T. Johnson and Michael B. Teston; great-grandchild, Colton Johnson; brother, Joseph Teston and wife, Joyce of Hillsborough; brother-in-laws, Tommy Ray, Tim Ray and Teresa, Brad Ray and wife, Margaret and Kenny Ray and wife, Barbara; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Rev. Hugh O’Shields will officiate. Burial will be in Brier Creek Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Sean C. Conway, Zack Moore, Gage Renuhart, David Perillo, Michael B. Teston, Tyler Johnson and Brandon Hickman; Honorary pallbearers will be James T. Ray, Jr., Joseph Teston and deceased friends, Bob Lee and Richard Ott.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home of Michelle Hickman, 1420 Goodwin Road.
