Lewis E. Adams

DURHAM- Mr. Lewis Ennis Adams, 90, passed away on September 1, 2021.

Mr. Adams was born October 7, 1930 to the late Robert and Fannie Adams. Lewis served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict from 1951-1953. He retired after 36 years at Liggett and Myers. Lewis was a long-time member of Lynn’s Crossroads Ruritan Club. He loved animals, especially cats, and enjoyed gardening on his Farmall tractor. He also enjoyed refinishing antique furniture. He made the best sausage and good country ham. Lewis loved his family and will be dearly missed.

Lewis is survived by his loving wife, Josephine H. Adams; and daughter, Deborah A. Retzlaff.

A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 3, 2021 at Brier Creek Memorial Gardens.
