Lillie Davis Carroll

Durham-Mrs. Lillie Davis Carroll, 95, of Durham died on Saturday, July 13, 2013. She was the daughter of the late John C. Davis and Lula Dunn Davis. She worked for Davis Bakery. She was a charter member of Riverside Baptist Church and attended for sixty years. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Hilda D. Watkins and Clarine Churchill, two brothers, Clyde Davis and Carey Davis.

She is survived by two sons, Raymond Carroll of Chatham County and Marshall Raeford Carroll of Clinton; two sisters, Naomi D. McLean and Dorothy D. Riley, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Rev. Glenn Davis will officiate. Burial will be in Sorrell’s Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Morrisville.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service at Hudson Funeral Home. Flowers are acceptable. Online condolences can be made at www.hudsonfuneralhome.com.
