Linda Ferrell

Linda Ferrell of Timberlake, North Carolina was called home to be with the Lord on September 15, 2023, after a lengthy illness, surrounded by her family.  She was a devoted wife and mother, who also worked outside the home.  She retired from American Tobacco Company while in Reidsville, North Carolina, and worked at Burlington & Whitaker Mills prior to that.  She enjoyed crafting, especially quilting, with fellow members of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.  She was happiest watching her three grandchildren and great-grandchild grow.

She is survived by sons Douglas (Kris) of Bahama, North Carolina, and Christian (Stephanie) of Timberlake, North Carolina; grandchildren Nikki and William Ferrell, and Sierra Dix (Darren); and great-granddaughter, Willow Dix.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, McDonald and Rosa Stephens; husband, Robert Ferrell; brothers Bobby and Billy Stephens; sisters Lilly Mae, Peggy Pendergraft and Jean Hunt.

Visitation is planned for Friday, September 22, 2023, 4:00-6:00 pm at Hudson Funeral Home, Durham, North Carolina.  Funeral Service will be Saturday, September 23, 2023, at 10:00am in the Chapel at Hudson Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Sylvan United Methodist Church Prayer Quilt Ministry, at 5731 North Roxboro Rd, Durham, NC 27712, or Christian Help Center, 122 Depot Rd, Roxboro, NC 27573.

The family will receive friends at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, 135 Clay Long Road, Hurdle Mills, NC 27541, immediately following the service.
