Linda Johnson Gregory

Linda Faye Johnson Gregory, a cherished daughter, sister, mother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 24, 2024, at the age of 74. Born on November 15, 1950, in Durham County, she was the beloved daughter of the late James Stevenson Johnson and Gladys Irene Broughton Johnson.

Linda was known for her selflessness and unwavering support for those around her. Her life was a testament to kindness and generosity, always putting others before herself. She found immense joy in her family, who were the center of her world. Linda is survived by her son, James Neil Gregory; step-daughter, Lisa Gregory Koger; her step-son, Kevin Gregory; and her grandchildren, Amelia Gregory, Bodhi Gregory, Cameron Gregory, and her half-sister, Jamie McDowell Reinhardt. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Roy Gregory. she will also be missed by her three best beloved friends, Theresa, Sharron, Faye and tiffany.

A passionate traveler, Linda embraced every opportunity to explore new places and create lasting memories with her family and friends. Her adventurous spirit and love for life were always evident in her journey. Linda will be remembered for her warmth, compassion, and the mark she left on the hearts of those who knew her. Her memory will continue to inspire and guide her family and friends, who will forever cherish the moments shared with her.

Family and friends are invited to gather in her memory on Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home. A service celebrating Linda's life will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel. A service honoring her life and legacy will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
