DURHAM- Mrs. Linda Roy Clevenger, 78, passed away, Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at Duke Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Clevenger was born October 30, 1942 to the late Robert and Irma Roy in Providence, Rhode Island. She worked at Roses Department Store for many years. Mrs. Clevenger loved to do word search puzzles. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Arvel Dan Clevenger; son, Paul Henry Clevenger; granddaughter, Carol.
Mrs. Clevenger is survived by her sons, William “Billy” Cloris Clevenger, Kevin Lee Clevenger (Ashley) of Franklinton, Danny Leroy Clevenger of Franklinton and Richard Lee Clevenger (June) of Wake Forest; daughter, Linda Murray (Tommy) of Bahama; sister, Beverly Cates of Rhode Island; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Callie, Cole, Jessica, Michael, Ricky, Jr., Joseph, Becky, Danny, Jr., James, Melissa, Christy, Terri, Teresa, Amanda, Wendy and several great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 19, 2021 at Rolling View Community Building, 4201 Baptist Rd, Durham, NC.
