Linda Gail Griffin Medlin

Mrs. Linda Gail Griffin Medlin, age 58, passed away on December 31, 2021 in the comfort of her home surrounded by family, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Linda was born on November 13, 1963 in Durham, NC, a daughter of the late John Benton and Geneva Shults Griffin. She graduated from Hillside High School in 1982. Mrs. Medlin was a faithful member of Faith Baptist Church, where she served as a Sunday School teacher for 18 years. She was an avid Duke Athletics fan and enjoyed gardening. Linda loved spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed.

Mrs. Medlin is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Dennis Medlin, whom she married on June 12, 1982; as well as her daughters, Lauren Shellhorn (Jared) and Caitlin Medlin; brothers, John “Dan” Griffin (Lori) and Stephen Griffin; granddaughter, Kathryn Shellhorn; nephew, Adam Griffin; and niece, Christina Griffin.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Roger Mishue, Barry Norton, Adam Griffin, Sam Thompson, Brett Durham, and Barry Clark.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Hudson Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Faith Baptist Church with Pastor Andrew Ivester officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.
