Linda Payne Hare

DURHAM Mrs. Linda Payne Hare, 67 of 1718 Snapper Lane and a former resident of Durham, died on Saturday, June 9, 2012.Mrs. Hare was born in Durham to the late Jack and Helen Karleskint Payne. She attended Lowes Grove Elementary School and Southern High School. She retired from Burroughs Wellcome Company. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Joe Payne and Eddie Payne and a sister, Rita Richardson.She is survived by her husband, Phillip Morris Hare; son, Mike Hare and wife Marcie of Bunn Level; step-daughter, Renee Hare of Hillsborough; one brother, John Payne of Durham; four sisters, Laura P. Richardson of Durham, Mary P. Pridgen of Rougemont, Helen P. Taylor of Durham and Tresia Payne of Holly Springs and a step-granddaughter, J. C. Hare.The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home of Hiedi Taylor, 1018, Ellis Road. Mrs. Hare will be cremated. Potted plants/flowers are acceptable.
