Linda Ray Teston

DURHAM Mrs. Linda Ray Teston, 71 of 3116 Nantucket Ave., died unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 17, 2014.
Mrs. Teston was a native resident of Durham, the daughter of the late James T. Ray Sr. and Henrietta Hatfield Ray. She was formerly employed with Upton’s Department Store as a clerk. She loved gardening, shopping and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Lester Teston, Jr.; son, Michael D. Teston of Buffaloe, NY; daughter, Michelle Hickman of Durham; six grandchildren, Brandon W. Hickman, Sean C. Conway, Heather Hickman, Cassandra Conway, Jessica T. Johnson and Michael B. Teston; great-grandson, Colton Johnson; four brothers, James T. Ray Jr. of Raleigh, Brad Ray of Hillsborough, Timothy Ray of Burgaw and Kenneth Ray of Durham; brother-in-law, Joseph Teston; sister-in law, Joyce Teston and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel, officiated by Rev. Hugh O’Shields. Burial will be in Brier Creek Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Sean Conway, Tyler Johnson, Brandon Hickman, Michael Teston, Rick Hickman and Zack Moore. Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph Teston, Richard Ott and Bob Lee.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter, Michelle Hickman, 1420 Goodwin Road.
