Linwood Eugene Allen

DURHAM- Mr. Linwood Eugene Allen, 71, passed away, Monday, January 6, 2020 at the VA Hospital.
Mr. Allen was born February 13, 1948 to the late Jesse and Margaret “Mozelle” Allen in Richmond, VA. Mr. Allen proudly served his country in the United States Air Force in the Vietnam War. He was owner and operator of Allen’s Muffler Shop for over 43 years. He fought a courageous battle fighting cancer. He loved to eat at Grill 46 and Las Palmas. Mr. Allen enjoyed deep sea fishing, the beach, camping and going to the casino. He enjoyed spending time with his family and watching FOX News and President Donald Trump. Mr. Allen will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.
Mr. Allen is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Margaret Allen; brother, Julius Allen.
Mr. Allen is survived by his wife, Donna M. Allen; son, Jeff Allen of Durham; daughter, Sherry Hamilton (David) of Creedmoor; brothers, Ronnie Allen of Durham, Ricky Allen (Wanda) of Durham, Parker Allen of Arizona; grandchildren, Wesley Howard (Kate), Ashley Allen and fiancé Dylan, Noah Allen Howard, Landen Hamilton.
Pallbearers will be Wesley Howard, Noah Howard, Landen Hamilton, Dylan Walker, David Hamilton, Richard Carpenter and Brian Howard.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2020 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 9, 2020 at Hudson Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Pastor Todd Moody. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.
