DURHAM- Mr. Lloyd Francis LeCouter, 85, passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2019 peacefully at home after a long illness.
Mr. LeCouter was born December 3, 1933 to Norman McCleod and Catherine Cox in Nova Scotia, Canada. Before moving to North Carolina, he proudly served 10 years in the Canadian Army. Lloyd collected model cars, enjoyed tinkering around the house, and loved cats. Mr. LeCouter was a jokester and was always making a joke upon greeting someone. He adored his great grandchildren. Lloyd will be remembered as a very loving and proud man who was a good provider and he will be missed by everyone blessed to have known him.
Mr. LeCouter is preceded in death by his parents, Norman McCleod and Catherine Cox; step-grandson, Christopher David Lloyd Chamberlain.
Mr. LeCouter is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Margaret Jean LeCouter; step-daughters, Kathie Stephens, Debbie Laycock (Ken); five grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren, as well as numerous loving nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Hudson Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. Officiating will be Pastor Spencer Chamberlain.
