Louis Gill

Louis “Craig” Gill, 63, of Buckingham Virginia passed away Friday, July 8, 2016 in High Point, NC.

Craig was born September 26, 1952 in Durham NC to the late Louis Harold Gill and Annie Ruth Murray Gill. He was a graduate of Southern Durham High School, Elon University where he played football on a scholarship and earned his masters degree at UNC Chapel Hill. He was a member of Kappa Psi Nu Fraternity. Craig was a teacher and coach for 40 years at Vance Sr. High School in Henderson NC, T.W. Andrews in High Point NC, Fork Union Military Academy in Fork Union VA and Buckingham County High School in Buckingham Va.

Craig is survived by his wife, Christy of the home; sons Jason Gill and wife Heather and Matthew Gill; daughter Lauren Gill; Brother Chip Gill and wife Sarah; 4 Grandchildren Logan, Kirsten, Anna Katherine and Harrison.

Funeral Services will be held Monday July 11th 2016 at 1 PM at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Reverend Dave Reid will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be: Anthony Jefferson, Glenn Ellis, Jimmy Twisdale, Steve Thompson, Darrell Royster and John Casazza.

There will be no formal visitation. In lieu of flowers, Craig asked that donations be made the the U.Va Cancer Hospital in Charlottesville Va. Online condolences can be made at: www.hudsonfuneralhome.com
