Louise Roberts

Elizabethtown, NC Mrs. Louise Lowe Roberts, 92, formerly of Durham, NC died August 25, 2011 at home. She attended Durham County Schools and received her LPN certification from Durham Technical College. For a total of 23 years she was employed as a nurse at Duke and McPherson Hospitals. Mrs. Roberts was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon S. Roberts, 2 sisters and 2 brothers. On Tuesday, August 30th visitation will be held from 6 to 7 at Dublin First Baptist Church followed by a service celebrating her life with Rev. Cameron McGill,Chaplain Whitney Edwards and Rev. Donald Coley officiating. On Wednesday, August 31, a visitation will be held from 1 to 2 at Lowe’s Grove Baptist Church in Durham followed by a service with Rev. Forest Gale and Rev. Jay Fogelman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Hudson Funeral Home will be assisting Kinlaw Funeral Home with service. Survivors include daughter, Elizabeth Ann Hood of Elizabethtown, son, James W. Adams and wife, Jeanette, of Durham; 9 grandchildren, Rebecka Baxter, Kathy Miller, Barry Hood, Dr. Lori Raney, Dale Hood, Sherry Dulling, Amy Hill, Lane Adams and Jody Adams; 15 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
