DURHAM- Luberne Frances Gilbert Allison, 93, of Durham went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 30, 2016. Luberne lived in Durham most of her life, was the daughter of the late Leo B. Gilbert and Cloie Knight. She was a homemaker and took care of many children in her home as if they were her own for many years. Luberne was a member of Bible Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Victor Eugene Allison, son Larry Eugene Allison.
She is survived by her sons, Reverend Greg Allison and wife Gail of Raleigh; David Victor Allison of the home; daughter, Darlene Allison Pate of Creedmoor; sister Effie Charles Emory of Creedmoor, grandchildren, Lori Gaddy (Chris), Gerrad Allison (Candice) and Geth Allison (Katie); great-grandchildren, Jason and Mark Bowen, Macie and Emmie Allison, Vivian, Virginia & Solomon Allison, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Bible Baptist Church in Creedmoor. Rev. Greg Allison and Rev. Jimmy Hall will officiate. Graveside service to follow at 1:30 p.m. in Maplewood Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Gerrad Allison, Geth Allison, Don Hursey, David May, Jr., Russell May and Don Teasley.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at Bible Baptist Church. Flowers are acceptable or memorials may be made to Bible Baptist Church, 2047 Gate Number 2 Rd., Creedmoor, NC 27522. Online condolences can be made at www.hudsonfuneralhome.com.
