Lucy Driver Wiggins

DURHAM Mrs. Lucy Driver Wiggins, 77, of Durham, died on Friday, August 30, 2013.

Mrs. Wiggins was a native and lifelong resident of Durham, the daughter of the late Zollie Driver and Minnie Powell Driver. She was raised by her Aunt Pattie and Uncle Otha Denton.  She retired from the Durham Gas House. She was a member of Horton Road Free Will Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Wiggins.

She is survived by her daughter, Margie Hagg Blalock (Johnnie) of Creedmoor; seven grandchildren, Renee Taylor (Ken), Reynold Hagg (Amy), Christina Nowlin, Ernie Brewer, Vernon Wiggins, Phillip Wiggins and Brandi Wiggins; 4 great-grandchildren, Clay Taylor, Elaina Taylor, Erin Hagg and Emmitt Nowlin.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel, officiated by Rev. Harry Brown. Burial will be in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers are Reynold Hagg, Ernie Brewer, Phillip Wiggins, Vernon Wiggins, Clay Taylor and Gerald Singleton.
