Manie Sadler Phillips

DURHAM Mrs. Manie Marion Sadler Phillips, 89, of Durham, died on Sunday, August 27, 2017.
Mrs. Phillips was born in Hyde County and had lived in Durham since 1977. She was the daughter of the late John Bennett Sadler and Emily Mason Sadler. She was a homemaker and loved knitting, crocheting, sewing and making personalized gifts.
She is survived by her three sons, Michael Phillips and wife, Betsy of Durham, Raymond Phillips of Fort Mills, SC and Dan Phillips of Spotsylvania, Va.; four grandchildren, Kevin Phillips and his partner, Chelsea Dramen, Scott Phillips, Kelsey Phillips, Angela Phillips and great-grandson, Theodore Phillips.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, September 1, 2017 at 2 p.m. in the Lowes Grove Baptist Church Fellowship Hall followed by burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Woodrow Freeze III will officiate.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 1:30 to 2 p.m. at the Fellowship Hall.
