Margaret Boone

DURHAM Mrs. Margaret Williams Boone, 91, formerly of 515 N. Hyde Park Ave., went to be with her Lord on Saturday, July 2, 2011. She was currently living in Creedmoor.She was born and raised in Durham to the late Curtis G. and Mary E. Peele Williams. In earlier years she was employed with the Durham Recreation Department and later with Wrights Automatic Machinery Company during WWII, where she received many certificates of appreciation for her dedicated service. She then became a homemaker and fulltime mother. After retirement, she was an active member of the Northgate Senior Center and the Jolly Club. She was preceded in passing by her loving husband of 53 years, Woodrow Enoch Boone and her brother, Robert A. Williams.She is survived by two daughters, Deborah Fish of Creedmoor and Beverly Ford and husband, Charles of Minnesota; four grandchildren, Kristie Lee, Jessica Sonbert and Stephanie Schoonover and husband, Jeff and two great-grandsons, Perry Lee and Kobe Sonbert.The family will receive friends and relatives on Friday from 2 to 3 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at her home in Creedmoor. Funeral services will follow immediately at 3 p.m. in Hudson Funeral Chapel, officiated by the Rev. Eric Raddatz. Interment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
