Margie Estelle Regan

DURHAM Margie Estelle Lynch Regan, (Goggy) 82, went home to be with our Lord and Savior and her beloved “Pops” on Tuesday, March 24, 2015.

She was the proud mother of five daughters and two sons, Sue Cates (Willard), Pam Wilkins (Ronny), Boe Regan (Becky), Nancy Dunnagan, Carol Rose (Richard), Gina Parrish (David) and Jeff Regan. She was one of eight children born to Bill and Nellie Lynch of Roxboro.

She was at her happiest when surrounded by her family which included 20 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren. Her love for babies and small children always brought a smile to her face. She was a great lover of country music and could name a song and the artist within a couple of seconds of hearing the song. Our fondest memories are the family gatherings on Sunday afternoons with good home cooking and the best homemade biscuits in the South.

She was a member of Friendly Hills Baptist Church in Hillsborough.

The family will receive friends and loved ones Friday evening, March 27^th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home.  Please join us in a Celebration of Life for our amazing Mama on Saturday, March 28th at 10 a.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Pastor Bobby Tate will officiate. She will be laid to rest alongside the love of her life and our beloved father (Pops) at Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Rodney Matthews, William Regan, Jr., Mikey Anderson, John Holbrook, Jordan Anderson and Houston Anderson. Honorary pallbearers will be Kyle Browning and Zack Matthews.
