Marian Fletcher Fine

DURHAM Mrs. Marian Louise Fletcher Fine, 81, of Durham, died on Wednesday, September 16, 2015.
Mrs. Fine was a native and lifelong resident of Durham, the daughter of the late Earlie Fletcher and Virginia Hudson Fletcher. She retired from Duke OBGYN as a Secretary. She was a member of Oak Grove Free Will Baptist Church and the Christian Women’s Business Association. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed sewing and cooking. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Fine, Jr.; two brothers, Earlie Fletcher, Jr. and George Fletcher; sister, Lois Thomas.
She is survived by her daughters, Debra Leathers and husband, Mickey of Newport and Betsy Winters and husband, Danny of Durham; brothers, Eugene Fletcher and Ronnie Fletcher both of Durham; grandchildren, Jeremy Baldwin, Joey Baldwin, Chris Winters, Tyler Leathers, Nathan Leathers and Virginia Weaver; great-grandchildren, Hailey Baldwin, Zachary Thompson, Mia Leathers, Lilly Leathers and Georgia Coley.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 18, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. The grandchildren will officiate.
The family will receive friends on Friday from12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org or Duke HomeCare and Hospice, 4321 Medical Park Drive Suite 101, Durham, NC 27703.
