Marie C. Hamilton

DURHAM- Mrs. Alice Marie Carpenter Hamilton, 69, passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2021.

Mrs. Hamilton was born on August 4, 1951 to Robert and Ann Carpenter in Durham, NC. She loved working with flowers, gardening, and reading books. Marie loved her family dearly, especially her grandsons. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Mrs. Hamilton was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray Hamilton, and brother, Charles E. Carpenter.

Mrs. Hamilton is survived by her son, David Hamilton (Sherry) of Creedmoor, NC; siblings, Richard Carpenter, Peggy Rigsbee of Hillsborough, NC, Lorie Atkins (Allan) of Rougemont, NC, Mark A. Carpenter (Sonia) of Emerald Isle, NC; and grandchildren, Wesley Howard (Kate), Noah Howard, and Landen Hamilton.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Hudson Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 31, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Wesley Howard, Noah Howard, Landen Hamilton, Giang Nguyen, Cliff Burton, and Jimmy Jones. Honorary pallbearer will be Jim Jones.
