Marie Ricks Rogers

DURHAM Mrs. Marie Ricks Rogers, 87, of Durham, died on Tuesday, February 2, 2016.
Mrs. Rogers was born in Wake County, daughter of the late Rufus Clyde Ricks and Mary Elizabeth Slaughter Ricks. She was a homemaker, wonderful cook, kept a spotless house and maintained her lawn and loved her flowers. She took pride in everything she did. She was a faithful member of Roberson Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry William Rogers; brothers, Roy G. Ricks, Raymond W. Ricks and a sister, Juanita Rogers.
She is survived by two sisters, Jean Harris and Doris McAdams both of Durham.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 6th at 2 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Rev. Jack O’Neal will officiate. Entombment will be in the Oak Grove Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
