Marjorie Thompson Gibbs

Marjorie Thompson Gibbs, 79, of Hillsborough, NC peacefully passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2022 in Durham, NC.  Marjorie was born December 16, 1942 in Durham, NC to the late Grover and Daisy Thompson.

Mrs. Gibbs worked for many years as an Electronics Assembler for Amphenol Electronics then went to work for Kennedy Bus Parts where she retired as a Seamstress after many years of dedicated service.  She used to regularly attend Crossroads Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gibbs is preceded in death by her loving husband George Calvin Gibbs; sister, Margaret McKellar.

Mrs. Gibbs is survived by her sister, Gertrude Thompson Rich of Durham; nieces, Gail Rich Smith (Don) of Durham, Joyce Marie Beasley (James) of Creedmoor and Linda Lazenby (Bill) of Arkansas; great-niece, Brandi Beasley; great-great niece, Chloe Beasley and other numerous loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Officiating will be Rev. Don G. Guthrie.
