Durham – Marjorie Stohlman Leimbach of Durham passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2014 while at the Hock Family Pavillion. She was born in Cleveland, OH to the late Mr. & Mrs. Gordon C. Stohlman. She attended Cleveland Institute of Art and was an accomplished artist. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church where she was active in the Altar Guild and Katherine Circle. She was a long time member of Umstead Pines Golf Club where she enjoyed golf, tennis and the Women of Willowhaven (Garden Club). She loved being with her grandchildren and enjoyed gardening, especially raising orchids in her greenhouse. She was a Red Cross Bloodmobile volunteer for 15 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Charles Leimbach after 56 years of marriage.
She is survived by her daughter Lori Leimbach Eberhardt and husband Bob of Mebane, N.C., her son Jim Leimbach and wife Linda, grandchildren Sydney and Emily Leimbach of Atlanta, GA, sister Carolyn Jacobson of Fairview Park, Ohio, sister-in-law Marguerite Bichsel of Dunedin, FL. , nieces Linda Khan, Marcia Rice and nephews Jack Bichsel and David Bichsel.
The Memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. After the service the family invites everyone to a reception at the church.
