Martha Bond

BRUNSWICK, NC- Mrs. Martha Gantt Bond, 64 of Supply, NC died on Saturday, January 29, 2011. She was a life time member of Main Street United Methodist Church in Albemarle, N.C. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She was community oriented and enjoyed helping the people she knew and those she did not know. She was the daughter of the late H. Max Gantt Sr. and Virginia Bowen Gantt. Mrs. Bond was an Elementary school teacher for most of her working career and then worked as an Administrative Clerk for UNC Physicians and Associates. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Andrew “Andy” Bond; they just celebrated their anniversary on January 10, 2011, Three daughters Mary Elizabeth “Bitsy” Butts and husband Earl, Anna “Katie” Collins and husband Branan, and Leslie Bond; one brother , H. Max “Buddy” Gantt, Jr.; two sisters, Charlotte Peddicord and husband Tom, Debbie Collicutt and husband Chuck; two grandsons, Andrew and Sean Butts; one granddaughter, Rileigh Collins.
