CREEDMOOR Mr. Martin “Marty” Vernon Brinkley, 54, of 4817 Old Weaver Trail, died on Saturday, December 10, 2011.He was employed with Liggett & Myers Tobacco Company as a Machinist. He was a member of Olive Grove Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his brother, Timothy “Timmy” Brinkley. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Heston Brinkley; his parents, Lehman and Gayle Brinkley of Creedmoor; two sons, Michael Brinkley and wife, Lyndsay of St. Augustine, Fla. and Cory Brinkley of Creedmoor; one daughter, Ashley Brinkley of Arlington, Va.; sister, Sharon Brinkley Whitfield of Creedmoor; grandchildren, Brayden Brinkley, Caleb Brinkley and Leighton McKinney.Graveside services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, officiated by Rev. Kevin Griggs. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home of his parents, 4829 Old Weaver Trail in Creedmoor. Flowers are acceptable.
