Mary Anderson “Arlette” Samillano

CREEDMOOR Mrs. Mary “Arlette” Anderson Samillano, 70, of 3071 Hester Road, died on Sunday, October 12, 2014.
Mrs. Samillano was born in Granville County, the daughter of the late Zeder Anderson and Delia Overton Anderson. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and a member of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary Post 375. She was known to her family and friends as a good seamstress.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Ray Luis Samillano; son, Vincent Joseph Samillano and wife, Elysse of Panama City, Fla.; three grandchildren, Dustan Lepori, Joshua Kaster and Shelby Flowers; great-grandson, Brantley Lepori; brother, Gaither Anderson and wife, Jean of Stem.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Creedmoor. Rev. Marc Tilley will officiate. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Mountain Creek Cemetery in Oxford. Active pallbearers will be Steven Horton, Ricky Williams, Wayne Craun, Tommy Averette, Horace Adcock and Harold Richards.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1 to 2 p.m., prior to the service at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and other times at the home, 3071 Hester Road. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church for the Open Door Sunday School Class or the church building fund.
