Mary Elaine Kelly

DURHAM- Mary “Elaine” DeLong Kelly, 61, of Durham died on Monday, October 21, 2013. She was the daughter of Ramona Allen DeLong and the late John Guy DeLong. She was a loving daughter, devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Elaine loved and adored her three grandchildren. Elaine graduated from Southern High School in 1970. She retired from Verizon with thirty one years of service, attended Bethesda Baptist Church.
She is survived by her mother, Ramona Allen DeLong, her husband of 43 years, Michael Ray Kelly , one son, Brad Ray Kelly, one daughter, Amy Kelly Schroeder and husband Mark and their three children, Maddison, Caleb and Grayson, three brothers, Guy Randall DeLong, John Deryl DeLong and wife, Becky and James Stanley DeLong, one aunt, Martha Jane Allen and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Rev. Greg Allison will officiate. Burial will be in Brier Creek Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Ronnie McKinney, Michael Remington, Luigi Tranchese, Jason Butler, Tom Bowen and Wayne Vaughan.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home of Mike and Elaine Kelly. Flowers are acceptable. Online condolences can be made at www.hudsonfuneralhome.com.
