Mary Elizabeth Ball Rogers

DURHAM- Mary Elizabeth Ball Rogers, 94, of Durham died on Monday, March 9, 2015. She was a native and lifelong resident of Durham, the daughter of the late Walter Thomas Ball and Nancy Johnson Ball. She was a member of Plainview Baptist Church. She loved writing in her journal. She was preceded in death by her husband, William T. “Buddy” Rogers, brother, Walter Ball, Jr., sister, Doris Latta, great-granddaughter Taylar Burrage.

She is survived by one son, Robert Rogers and wife Shirley of Durham, three daughters, Marie Rudd of Townsville; Faye Taylor and husband Jasper of Durham; and Linda Pridgen and husband Ronald of Durham; nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren

Graveside services will be held on Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Pastor Gary Brummitt will officiate. Active pallbearers will be Quentin Philpot, Russell McBride, Jasper Taylor III, Hunter Burrage, Jeff Taylor and Todd Rogers.
