Mary (Libby) Minor

DURHAM Mrs. Mary “Libby” Minor, 63, of Durham, died on Wednesday, July 25, 2012.Mrs. Minor was a native and lifelong resident of Durham, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Lorena Thornton Hyde. She retired after 15 years from the Durham Public Schools. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, H. Richard Minor.She is survived by her son, Richard D. Minor; two daughters, Melissa Dausen and Elizabeth Minor; two sisters, Teresa Morris and Deborah Gibbs; 2 granddaughters, Briana and Ava and 6 grandsons, Joshua, Christopher, Avery, Ethan, Noah and Zachary.Funeral services will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church, officiated by Dr. Roger Wall and Dr. Harold E. Thornton. Burial will be in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 to 8 pm at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home of Teresa Morris.
