HINTZDURHAM Mrs. Mary Rorie Hintz, 88, of 1141 Raynor Street, died on Tuesday, September 28, 2010. Mrs. Hintz was born in Chesterfield, S.C. but had lived in Durham most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Loe Bonnie Rorie and Mary Cassidy Rorie. She was a loving Mother and Grandmother. She was a member of Fuller Memorial Reformed Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest William Hintz; son, Richard S. Hintz and six brothers and sisters. She is survived by her children , Suzanne and husband, Ralph Hollocher, Bill Hintz and wife, Jean, Rita Hintz, Mary Frederick and John Hintz and wife, Brenda; grandchildren, Mary Sue Gunselman and husband, Richard, James Lewis, Holly Heath and husband, Robert, James Glenn and wife, Mary, Ronald Glenn, Heather Daniels and husband, Adam, Misty McKnight and husband, Gem, Richard Hintz, Kevin Hintz, Derick Hintz, Karen Glover and husband, Patrick and Jonathan Hintz and wife, Tara; 18 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren and her brother and sisters, Connie Roghelia, Gladis Chasak, Harvey Rorie and Tommy Rorie. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at Fuller Memorial Reformed Presbyterian Church, officiated by Dr. Darrell C. Pond. Burial will be in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home, 1141 Raynor Street. Flowers are acceptable.
