Melrose Rose Carpenter

CARPENTERDURHAM Mrs. Melrose “Rose” Carpenter of Durham, died at her home on Monday, April 18, 2011.She was a native of Durham, the daughter of the late Mac Bailey and Lottie Mae McBride. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Carpenter. She was retired from Blue Cross and was foster mom to many lucky children. She loved them and gave them the best possible start. She is survived by her son, Bailey and was Nana to Brittany and Daniel.Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel, officiated by Dr. Bill Denning. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
