Milton Lee Blackburn

DURHAM Mr. Milton Lee (BB) Blackburn, died at Durham Regional Hospital at 1:25 a.m. on Thursday, February 28, 2013. He was 81 years old.He served in the U. S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He retired from Overnite Transport after 39 years of service. He attended the Old Fashion Tabernacle Church.He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Ruth Blackburn; two sons, Johnny Blackburn Sr. and wife, Brenda, Jerry Blackburn; two brothers, Lambert Blackburn, Curtis Blackburn and one sister, Alene Simmons; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel, officiated by Rev. Morris Westbrook and Rev. Bill Lawrence. Burial with military honors will be in held in Woodlawn Memorial Park.The family will receive friends on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home, 3007 Redwood Road.
