DURHAM Mr. Fred Augustus Moses, 88, of 724 Lindley Drive, died on Sunday, May 30, 2010.Mr. Moses was a native of Granville County, the son of the late Decatur and Ella Mangum Moses. He was a veteran of the World War II, served in the U. S. Army Company C 864 Engineers in the Southern Pacific. He retired after 30 years from the American Tobacco Company as a machinist. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He loved nature. He is survived by his wife, Addie Parker Moses; one son, Tony Moses and wife, Mary of Durham; one daughter, Susan Walker and husband, Donald of Roxboro; three sisters, Annie Newcomb, Christine Wellons and Eunice Cook; grandchildren, Joseph Walker, Jessica Gentry and husband, Lynn, Casey Moses, Courtney Moses and Aaron Moses and great-grandchildren, Brayden Gentry and Lyndley Gentry.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., before the service at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home, 724 Lindley Drive.
