Christy Louise Morgan

DURHAM – Ms. Christy Louise Morgan, 36, passed away on Friday, January 1, 2021.

Ms. Morgan was born on February 23, 1984 to Reid and Patsy Morgan in Durham, NC. She attended Southern High School and graduated in 2002. Afterwards, she attended Vance-Granville Community College. Christy made her career as an office manager, where she displayed her strong organizational and leadership skills.  She was an animal lover and enjoyed taking care of dogs at Camp Bow Wow. Christy was compassionate to everyone she met and was a natural caregiver.  She adored children, had a huge heart, and loved her family.  Along with all of the joys in her life, Christy found happiness in cooking, drawing, making crafts, and taking care of her dog, Zeus. She was a generous person always willing to help everyone and make sure they were comfortable in life.

Ms. Morgan was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Charles Reid Morgan, Sr.; and her maternal grandparents, Helen and Floyd Watson.

Ms. Morgan is survived by her parents, Reid and Patsy Morgan; sister, Becky Haigler (Jamie); niece, Lainey Haigler; nephew, Jacob Haigler; paternal grandmother, Eugenia Morgan; boyfriend, Travis Williams; and her cherished fur-baby, Zeus.

Christy was genuinely loved and will be remembered as a sweet, kind, and fun-loving person who never met a stranger. She will be deeply missed by everyone.
