Myrtle Spell Taylor

DURHAM Mrs. Myrtle Spell Taylor, 81, of Durham, died on Tuesday, September 14, 2016.
Mrs. Taylor was born in Sampson County, the daughter of the late Ottis Benson Spell and Apha Corrina Tyndell Spell. She was preceded in death by her brother, Elvin “EB” Spell. She enjoyed gardening; volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House and was an active church member
She is survived by her two daughters, Evelyn Taylor (Jimmy Richardson) of Rougemont and Linda Taylor of Raleigh; brothers, “LP” Spell and wife Mary of Durham and Marby “Bud” Spell of Rougemont; grandson, Bryan Taylor of Boone and great-granddaughter, Isabella.
Graveside services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.
