Nancy Elizabeth Brown Goodwin

DURHAM Mrs. Nancy Elizabeth Brown Goodwin, 77, a former resident of University Station Road in Durham, died at her home in Eatonton, Georgia on Wednesday, January 5, 2011. She had lived with her son in Eatonton for the past 6 years. Mrs. Goodwin was a native of Wayne County, the daughter of the late Grover and Lillian Mitchell Brown. She retired after 25 years from Burlington Domestics. She was a member of Mt Hermon Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Goodwin, brother, Grover Lee Brown, Jr. and a sister, Ruth Brewer. She is survived by two sons, Bobby Ray Goodwin, Jr. and wife, Gena of Eatonton, Ga. and Billy “Bill” Lee Goodwin and wife, Anne of Cary; five grandchildren, Jason Goodwin, Jessica Goodwin, Chris Goodwin, Andrew Goodwin and Russ Goodwin; four great-grandchildren, Taylor Carswell, Cameron Carswell, Kaleigh Goodwin and Paisley Goodwin and a niece, Ann Crowley.Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. at Mt Hermon Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Rich Goodier. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will be her grandsons and Allen McGee and Mark Coor.The family will receive friends on Saturday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home.
