Nancy Gail Crabtree Jones

Nancy Gail Crabtree Jones, 71 of Lincolnton, formerly of Durham died Friday, March 10th, 2017 at Carolinas Medical Center in Lincolnton, NC. Born on November 12th, 1945 she was daughter of the late Samuel Warren Crabtree and Annie Ellis Crabtree Hewett. She was a homemaker.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Crabtree Schronce of Lincolnton.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, James “Gus” Jones, a daughter, Jennifer Lee Jones of Lincolnton, a son, James Bryson “Jamie” Jones, Jr. of Lincolnton, a grand-daughter, Haley Ellen Jones and a grandson, Nathaniel Bishop Webb. She is also survived by two brothers, Ronald Hewett (Jennie) of Charlotte and Johnny Hewett (Connie) of Durham, one sister, Teresa Hewett Howard (Marcus) of Durham and several nieces and nephews.A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm Thursday, March 16th, 2017 at Union Baptist Church in Lincolnton.The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 pm -2:00 pm Thursday, March 16th, 2017 at Union Baptist Church.
