Nancy Ann Riggs

DURHAM Mrs. Nancy Ann Riggs, 73, of Durham, passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2017.Mrs. Riggs was born in Wake County, the daughter of the late Junius Hub Ray and Ola Mae Keith Ray. She retired after 20 years from the American Tobacco Company and also worked for Nortel and retired after 12 years. Mrs. Riggs was a member of Shady Grove Free Will Baptist Church and was very involved for over 50 years. She will be remembered as the best wife, mother and grandmother who always took great care of her family. She was preceded in death by her sister, Alma Lee Tabor.She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Paul Riggs; son, Jerome Riggs; daughter, Lisa Scoggins and husband, Norm; brother, Gene Ray and wife, Frankie; and one grandson, Doug Morgan.Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 6, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Shady Grove Free Will Baptist Church. Rev. Tim McCreight will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Robbie Gullie, Jason Gullie, Joseph Kerr, Andy Tabor, Mike Riggs and Doug Riggs.The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 5, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
