Niles Eugene Leese

DURHAM Mr. Niles Eugene Leese, 82, of Durham, died on Monday, December 5, 2016.Mr. Leese was born in York, Pennsylvania, the son of the late John Allen Leese and Kathyn Elizabeth Shutt Leese. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. Niles retired after a distinguished 50 year career from IBM Corporation as a Field Engineer. He was a Charter member of Christus Victor Lutheran Church. Niles was an avid golfer and gardener. Niles will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather, who will be deeply missed by everyone blessed to have known him. He was preceded in death by his son, Keith Leese.He is survived by his wife, Virginia Leese; sons, Ken Leese and wife, Jane, Steven Leese and wife, Kim and Tim Leese and wife, Dahlia; sister, Margaret Soltes and husband, John; grandchildren, Jennifer Collins and husband, Jay, Sarah Johnson, Dylan Leese, Christopher Leese, Haley Leese, Tristan Leese, Brooke Leese, Trent Leese, Eryn Leese, Nathan Leese, Troy Leese, Patrick Leese and Tony Leese; great-grandchildren, Zachary and Julie Collins.Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 9, 2016 at the Christus Victor Lutheran Church; 1615 NC Hwy 54 at 11 a.m. Pastor Terry Dorsey will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Ken Leese, Steven Leese, Tim Leese, Dylan Leese, Tristan Leese, Christopher Leese, and Trent Leese.The family will receive friends on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home.
