Nina Dillard Ray

Nina Lee Dillard Ray, 96, passed away February 3, 2022. Mrs. Ray was born June 20, 1925 to the late Irving Walter Dillard and Carletta King Dillard in Wake County.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Ray; her brother; Eddie Dillard and a sister; Inez Dillard Gresham.

Mrs. Ray is survived by her daughter; Betty Ray Emerson of Rolesville, NC, sisters; Wanda Ennis of Morehead City, NC and Mable Scarborough of Fuquay-Varina, NC. Also, many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday February 8, 2022, at Hudson Funeral Home followed by a 2 p.m. funeral service at Hudson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be a Woodlawn Memorial Park. Officiating will be the Reverend Hugh O’Shields.

Flowers are acceptable.

The family request everyone wear a mask and practice social distancing.
