Norma Jean James Paschall

Mrs. Norma Jean James Paschall, 87, passed away on May 31, 2022.

Norma was born February 3, 1935, a daughter of the late Jimmie Allen and Lucille Smiley James. She was a graduate of Oak Grove High School. Mrs. Paschall was a member of Olive Branch Baptist Church and a former member of Holloway Street Christian Church, as well as Bethesda Baptist Church. She enjoyed fellowship and spending time with her church family as a member of the Bethesda Ruritan Club and Bethesda’s Prime Timers Group. She retired from the accounting department at Research Triangle Institute, where she worked from 1988 until 2000. In her later years, Norma enjoyed painting flowers and landscapes. She loved traveling and being a homemaker. Norma loved her family and will be dearly missed.

Mrs. Paschall was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Anthony “Tony” Lopez; her second husband, Wayne Hutchins; and her third husband, Carl Paschall, as well as her son, Dana S. Lopez; and her three brothers, Jimmie James, Charles James, and Bobby James.

Mrs. Paschall is survived by her son, Carlos James Lopez and his wife, Kathy; daughter, Tonya L. Page and her husband, Kenneth; grandchildren, Jeff Page (Kimberly), Kevin Duke (Missy), Chris Duke (Megan), Carla Hardiman (Seth), Erika Gregory (David); great-grandchildren, Kylie Duke, Kodie Duke, Kiowa Duke, Brynn Duke, Wesley Gregory, Ryan Gregory, Maddox Hardiman, Keegan Hardiman; sisters-in-law, Yolanda James and Jeanette James; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Kevin Duke, Jeff Page, Mark James, Seth Hardiman, Victor Snipes, and Mike Wrenn.

A visitation will be held from 12:30-2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at Hudson Funeral Home with a funeral service following at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Tim Wheeler. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.
