Ola Hunt Evans

Ola Hunt Evans, of Orange County, NC, entered into Eternal Rest, Sunday, March 12, 2023. She was 93 years old.

Ola was born August 17, 1929, in Durham, NC to the late Marvin Woodford and Sally Ann Robinson Hunt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Evans; and siblings, Clarence Hunt, Marvin Hunt, Johnny Hunt, Jerry Hunt, Patsy Benfield, and Martha Hill. Ola was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Mrs. Evans is survived by her children, Joan (Robert) Abernathy, Daniel (Debra) Evans, Samuel (Deana) Evans, and Michael (Amy) Evans; grandchildren, Robin, Kristina (Jason), Katie (Kenny), Danny Jr. (Candace), Angel (Brian), Hunter, Samantha (Derek), Jessica, and Joshua; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sisters, Clara Hill, Shirley (Howard) Walker, and Carolyn (Brantley) Smith; as well as other loving family members and friends.

The family would like to thank Promedical for their loving care and support.

A visitation will be held from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Living Waters Christian Community Church, 1104 Lynn Road, Durham, NC 27703, with a memorial service following at 10:00 a.m. Officiating will be Rev. Daniel W. Evans.
