DURHAM- Mrs. Pary Moavenzadeh, 88, passed away on Monday, November 23, 2020.
Mrs. Moavenzadeh was born on February 22, 1932 to the late Taghi and Shokat Badiee in Tehran, Iran and was the eldest of 4 daughters. She moved to the United States as an adult and worked for many years as a hairdresser at JC Penney. Pary will be remembered for her kind nature, her love of music and gardening, and her
dedication to family. She was a beloved sister, mother, and grandmother, and a devout member of the Baha’i Faith.
Mrs. Moavenzadeh is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kamyar and Lee Moavenzadeh; daughter and son-in-law, Katayoon and Fouad Haghseresht; sisters, Vida Ellins, Nina Badalian, and Leyna Mason; and grandchildren, Vahid, Leyla, Faith, Pouran, and Gabrielle Moavenzadeh, and Zhinous, Ruhollah, and Louisa Haghseresht.
A graveside service will be held at Maplewood Cemetery on Friday, November 27 at 1:00 p.m. Details regarding a virtual memorial service later in the week are forthcoming.
