GOODNEYDURHAM Mr. Paul Francis Goodney, 63, of Durham, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2012, after a courageous 7 year battle with cancer.He was a native of Worcester, Mass., the son of the late Francis and Ruth Hennessey Goodney. He moved to Durham in 2003 from East Hampton, Connecticut with his wife, Linda. Mr. Goodney retired after 37 years as a dedicated employee from the State of Connecticut as a Director for the Workers Compensation Commission. His favorite past-times were riding his Harley and making many new friends on his various journeys. He brought a smile to everyone’s face and lived life to the fullest.He is survived by his wife, Linda Goodney; two sons, Philip Goodney and wife, Amy of Etna, VT and Christopher Goodney of Brooklyn, NY; one daughter, Lauren Griswold and husband, Matthew of Hebron, CT.; four step-daughters, Tammy Moore and husband, David of Weddington, NC, Diane Chase of Raleigh, NC, Suzanne Keenan and husband, Kyle of Apex, NC and Elizabeth Anderson and husband, Matthew of Duluth, MN; one brother, Bruce Goodney of Worcester, MA; three sisters, Nancy LaRochelle and husband, Ron of Southborough, MA., Karen Quinlivan of Rutland, MA and Mary Griffin of Worcester, MA.; 16 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
