DURHAM – Paula Crook Seagroves, 78, of Durham passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2015. She lived in Durham for 75 years and was the daughter of the late Paul Crook and Ernestine Collier Crook. Paula loved to square dance, go camping, bowling and was a PTA Mom. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Paula was preceded in death by her brother, Claude Crook.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Wallace Seagroves, he worked for the State for 30 years and was in the National Guard for 29 years; son, William Seagroves of Durham; daughter, Jennifer Duke of Durham; sister, Betty O’Dell of Hillsborough; beloved pet cat, Smokie and beloved pet dog, Sugarbear.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Rev. Jody Griffin will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Larry Herndon, Thomas Fowler, Lawrence Green, Robert Young, James Rigsbee and John Paul Womble. Honorary pallbearer will be William Gowan.
The family will receive friends on Monday, October 5, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home. Flowers are acceptable. Online condolences can be made at www.hudsonfuneralhome.com.
