Pedro Garcia Lara

Pedro Garcia Lara, 46, of Durham, North Carolina suddenly passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2023.  He was born on March 20, 1977 in Mexico to the late J. Eleazar Garcia Toledo and Ma Mercedes Lara Mosqueda.

Mr. Garcia was a proud, strong and devoted family man who enjoyed spending time with his brothers and sisters and always looked forward to Sunday dinners with his children. He loved eating seafood and listening to Los Bukis.  Pedro was a collector of many hats including cowboy hats, while also sporting his boots from Mexico.

Pedro will be remembered as a happy and generous man with an outgoing personality that gave many people enjoyment and comfort.  A true family man will be deeply missed by everyone blessed to have known him.

Mr. Garcia survived by his daughter, Mercedes Yesenia Garcia Cortes; son, Bryan Garcia Cortes; 3 brothers; 3 sisters and numerous loving family members and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. on Friday, December 1, 2023, at Hudson Funeral Home, 211 S. Miami Blvd., Durham, NC 27703.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Hudson Funeral Home Chapel.  A Graveside Service will follow the same day at 1:00 P.M. at Maplewood Cemetery in Durham, NC.

Flowers are acceptable.
