Peggy Violet Brinkley Goodwin

YOUNGSTOWN, FL- Mrs. Peggy Violet Brinkley Goodwin, 89, passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020.

Mrs. Goodwin was born on July 18, 1931 to Marvin and Lucille Brinkley in Durham, NC. She worked for 35 years as a licensed Practical Nurse and was a member of the Salvation Army Church.

Mrs. Goodwin was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Lucille Brinkley; her husband, Edgar F. Goodwin; and brothers, Ray Brinkley, Marvin Brinkley, Harold Brinkley, and Grover Brinkley.

Mrs. Goodwin is survived by her son, John F. Goodwin and his wife, Sabrena, of Panama City, FL; daughters, Mary Ann G. Ragsdale and her husband, Philip, of Durham, NC, and Marsha G. Hamilton of Durham, NC; brother, Albert Brinkley and his wife, Betsy, of Durham, NC; grandchildren, Andrea Wilson and her husband, Travis, of Raleigh, NC, Brandon Hamilton of Raleigh, NC; Ashley Ragsdale and her husband, Matt, of Durham, NC, and Timothy Goodwin of Panama City, FL; and great-grandchildren, Alex Hamilton, Ayla Wilson, and Anthony Nesman.

A chapel service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 8, 2021 at Hudson Funeral Home.
